Justice Wingspan Shawl
Malala Yousafzai bravely fights around the world for girls' right to education. Despite threats to her own life, she speaks out and reminds us that we must continue to be vigilant to protect the rights of women and girls to participate in democracy. “There's a moment when you have to decide whether to be silent or stand up.”

Justice is a variation on the popular wingspan shawl, named for the wing-like shape of each section. It is worked in crocheted entrelac. The gradient yarn creates an elegant effect while reminding us that justice fades if we are not vigilant in protecting and participating in our democracy.
